Ultra-Endurance: Andrew Goodson Takes on the 256-Mile Thames Ring
If you caught a recent episode of the Insolvency: Dodging Bullets podcast, you might have heard a rumour that Andrew Goodson was planning something big. We can now confirm that Andrew is officially back on the start line for the Thames Ring ultramarathon—a gruelling 256-mile journey.
After successfully completing the course last year, Andrew is pushing his limits even further this time around. His goal? To knock 7.5 hours off his previous finish time.
As he switches his "Out of Office" on and heads to the start line this evening, Andrew faces 256 miles of picturesque (and punishing) trails. He isn’t doing it alone, though; he is supported by Emma Goodson, whom he jokingly hopes to keep on side throughout the trek, and he'll be keeping a wary eye out for Stephen Hunt, who famously caught Andrew dancing into the 188-mile checkpoint last year!
The race officially kicks off at 10:00 am on Wednesday, with Andrew aiming to cross the finish line by Saturday afternoon. To him, it’s a "four-day running holiday"—to the rest of us, it’s a testament to the grit and determination he brings to everything he does.

Everyone at the firm wishes Andrew the best of luck. We look forward to hearing the stories (and seeing if there’s any more dancing) when he returns!
